Holden Ignition Locks
One of the more common problems we get calls for are Holden
Ignition Locks. These locks are on models such as the
Holden Commodore, Astra, Vectra and Barina. They are a
European design in the Opel family of cars.

These ignition locks suffer from a few problems, including
work keys and worn lock, a steering lock component can break and
the tailpiece can break that connects the switch (as in the
photo above)
If you have worn keys/lock or a broken steering lock pin the
chances are that you will not be able to turn the key in the
ignition. The key will go into the lock, but wont turn.
If the tailpiece breaks connecting the switch then you will
still be able to turn the key, but you will feel no click as it
turns from On to Start.
In both of these cases a new ignition barrel will be required
and in some cases a new complete Lock housing will need to be
replaced.
We stock these ignition barrels for Holdens and have a
complete mobile service for fitting them to your car
